2 Designers Timeline. Created a timeline featuring 10+ significant moments in the careers of 2 Designers, Debbie Millman and Yusaku Kamekura. To provide additional context of the time period, I included significant historical events as well as design related historical events that shaped graphic design.
Project Details
The two designers careers that are displayed throughout the timeline are Debbie Millman and Yusaku Kamekura. I intentionally chose two designers from different time periods to show the evolution of graphic design throughout time however, occasionally significant events in their lives overlap.
I created a color coded system for handling each type of event (designer related/historical/design historical) as well as a type system to handle dates, images, and text. My aim was to ensure the timeline was visually interesting yet understandable.
20 total pages
Printed on 8.5”x11” paper, trimmed, and binded together via accordian book style. This created a timeline that was one continuous flow of lines and content.
